Hingham Town Profile

Hingham

HINGHAM PHOTO GALLERY

Hingham is approximately 15 miles south of Boston.  The town’s history is reflected in its many antique homes.  Derby Academy, founded in 1784, is the oldest co-ed school in the country, and First Parish Church is the oldest church continuously used as a place of worship. The town has six historic districts which help maintain its unique character.  Hingham Center has many unique shops, restaurants and a cinema. Hingham is proud of its location on the water, and a new harbor park expands the use of Hingham Harbor.
