Pembroke Town Profile

Pembroke

PEMBROKE PHOTO GALLERY

Pembroke was an Indian outpost that split off from Duxbury in 1650. Thirty-one miles from Boston, the town primarily built ships along the North River, which later became a source of bog iron. Typical of other towns in Plymouth County, Pembroke still retains active cranberry bogs, lovely old homesteads and large ponds.  An influx of newcomers have been drawn to this friendly community where Cape and Colonial styles predominate.
